• DLA (Dislocation Allowance): Flat amount of money during a move

  • Not before the first duty station (unless you have dependents) or after the last duty station.

• Per Diem: Set amount for hotels, meals and incidentals for each travel day.

  • Use it or lose it

  • 400 miles for first day, then 350 miles/day 

  • Example: 1000-mile trip= 3 days: Day 1 (400 miles), Day 2 (350 miles), Day 3 (250 miles)
